Barack Obama is the 44th president of the United States. When he was elected president back in 2008, he now became the first African American to hold office. When he ran for president, many people thought he could’nt do it, and they thought he didn’t have much experience. But, after convincing, the people now thought that he can be the president.

When Barack Obama was elected the president of the United States, many things have changed in the country. During his presidency, he helped other countries leaders, and told them that the United States will work with them to solve international problems around the globe. Barack Obama also helped with a health care problem. Lots of people didn’t have a health insurance, and they couldn’t afford their medical bills. Obama made the bills more affordable for people to pay. He also helped solve one of the biggest problems in the U.S, the U.S economy. At the time he was president, the U.S economy was worse than ever. Lots of people were losing their jobs, and other companies such as banks, were failing. So, Obama decided to address the problem by pushing the tax cuts in order for other Americans to have more money.
Because of his hard efforts, Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize. Even if we’re not powerful leaders, or government officials, we can still make the world a better place by inspiring others, helping others, and listening to others. “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” – Barack Obama.
